Sam Fisher is back in this, the fourth Splinter Cell.
Double Agent seems to be the most dynamic Splinter Cell. Every time you restart a level, enemies seem to be in different positions and events occur in a different manner. Furthermore, the level designers have designed most missions to give you multiple paths toward your objective, so you'll have a good amount of breathing room to try out different strategies.
Your very decisions within a game will have a factor in how the game then progesses. this should, at the very least, add a great deal of longevity to the game as well as making it more challenging.

As with all games in the Tom Clancy series you could go around shooting and killing every enemy in sight but this will rearely let you finish the mission as you will just bring the world down on your head and your mission will fail. There will always be a route around trouble which will allow you to sneak to your final destination. It could be a window or drainpipe that you will have to keep a look out for. Of course, you will have chances to burn off some stress and go on a rampage. Sniping, in particular, remains a favorite way to knock off potential trouble.
