Tony Hawk's Project 8
The latest in the popular skateboarding series designed from the ground up for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The new game is based on goal-orientated tasks as seen on the successful Pro Skater 4 and a move away from the story driven tasks of recent versions. Project 8 relates to Tony's hunt for the world's best 8 amateur skaters. Your task is to make that final 8.

You will be able to skate around the park at will selecting and performing tasks such as pulling off the correct trick for a photographer or following a film crew performing set tricks. In Classic Mode you have to complete the tricks within a 2 minute timespan. At any time you can drop into 'nail the trick' mode which puts you in a view of your board and feet which you control in slow motion using the analogue sticks to spin the board.
Not too much information is known about the online functionality but the game will have online leaderboards for its various challenges, letting you compare your scores and times directly with other online players.
The game was built from the ground up for the next generation consoles. As such, it is graphically far richer than anything before in the series.
