Resistance: Fall of Man
Microsoft has its highly regarded HALO; Resistance: Fall of Man is genuinely expected to become the Playstation 3's answer to Xbox game.
'FOM' is a Sci -Fi First Person Shooter based on an 'alternative' history of mankind. Similar to Halo, you will find yourself shooting and killing many different types of beast in order to progress through the game.
This has all the hallmarks of a game that you will not be able to put down for many hours on end. |

The game's storyline takes us into an alternative reality where the second World War never took place due to the world fighting a huge evil presence called Chimera.
The game player takes the role of Nathan Hale, an American soldier who joins the English resistance force. Nathan Hale's progress is recalled in flashbacks by an English Captain, Rachel Parker. The Chimera can infect mankind and it up to the game's hero to stop this infiltration. The game takes a highly tensioned air as Hale himself is infected with this 'virus'.
FOM is expected to run highly advanced graphics way beyond those seen on the Playstation 2. The game is expected to work on the highest HD 1080p setting to show off the Playstation 3's capabilities.
There will a 2 Player Co-Operative mode so that you and a friend can play side-by-side waging your wrath against the opposing forces.
The Multiplayer Online goodies are numerous including a highky motivating Ranking system; Every completed third level will be rewarded with promotion, a new rank such as Captain or General. There are expected to be 60 online levels in total.
Team based multiplay will be available from 8 up to 40 (!) players.
Whether the game will become as callsic as the Xbox's Halo series will be interesting to see. It certainly looks like offering more of the same and will appeal highly to gamers looking for the same sort of FPS experience. |
